After the mega bombshell publicity surrounding the announcement of the LEGO Simpsons House, there hasn’t been a whole lot to talk about this week regarding LEGO news. Luckily, there are still some non-LEGO block figures happenings going on, including the recently-released K’NEX Super Mario Series 3 Blind Bags figures hitting stores! If you’re like me, you don’t want to end up with yet another K’NEX Mario figure, and this handy code number list of KNEX Super Mario Series 3 codes will make sure that you (and I) don’t have to…
I don’t get much of an opportunity to talk about the Super Mario K’NEX figures and sets here on Bricks and Bloks because, well… there’s just not that much to talk about with them! The sets are a totally different beast from the LEGO sets that we’re all used to, and not really my thing. But there’s no question that I seriously love the K’NEX Super Mario blind bagged figure series, which is why I’ve been posting the K’NEX Super Mario codes for each series here on the site.
For its third outing in the world of blind bags, Super Mario K’NEX Series 3 adds a rarity scale so collectors and kids can have a fair idea of exactly how likely drawing the figure that they’re hoping for is. Diddy Kong and the new Cheep Cheep and Bullet Bill figures are common, while Mario, Pink Yoshi and Toad are rare. The ultra rare “Elite” figures are Bowser and a Hammer Brothers figure, which is sure to frustrate collectors wanting to army-build Hammer Bros.
As with past series of KNEX Super Mario mystery packs, the code numbers on the bags are all the same–you identify the character in the package not by the number itself, but by determining which digit of the number on the package is underlined. [Of course, if you don’t want to go to the hassle of hunting for these Super Mario blind bags at retail at all, they’re also available online already.]
Bullet Bill – 0513280 [First Digit Underlined]
Cheep Cheep – 0513280 [First Digit Double Underlined]
Mario – 0513280 [Second Digit Underlined]
Bowser – 0513280 [Third Digit Underlined]
Pink Yoshi – 0513280 [Fourth Digit Underlined]
Toad – 0513280 [Fifth Digit Underlined]
Diddy Kong – 0513280 [Sixth Digit Underlined]
Hammer Brother – 0513280 [Seventh Digit Underlined]
K’NEX Super Mario Bros. figures in general are super-tough to find in my area, but I needed to get me that Bullet Bill and Pink Yoshi, so I had no choice but to search for them relentlessly. Now that you know the odds and the codes for doing so, will you be hunting any of the Super Mario K’NEX Series 3 figures?
Good luck, fellow Mario Blind Bag collectors!
The big picture in the middle (of all the bags) is one I took for ebay. 😛
Do you have the blind bag codes for Series 4 and Series 5 yet? If so, will you post them on the site?
