It’s been a while since I’ve posted a code number list for any series of blind bags/blind boxes, but finally a new series has caught my attention! Despite coming from a non-Disney animated film, the Despicable Me Minions have turned out to have long-lasting popularity and have become favorite characters in pop culture. In 2015, the Minions will have their first movie of their very own–but before that, MEGA Brands is giving the Minions their very own series of blind boxes! And thanks to this handy code number list, you can make sure to pull exactly the Mega Bloks Minions Series 1 figure you want every single time!

Then, out of nowhere, I got multiple requests from readers who were looking for a way to identify the figures in the blind boxes! Thus, I decided to head over to my nearest Toys R Us store, and lo and behold–there were the Minions!

As with all Mega Bloks blind boxed/blind bagged figures, there’s a code on the packaging for each figure that will let you identify which figure you’re getting inside the box without having to buy $4-$5 figures totally at random. Thanks, MEGA Brands!

A20094ES – Yellow Minion (With Explosion on Face) with a Flask
A21094ES – Purple Minion Long Haired

A24094ES – Purple Minion / Evil Minion
A25094ES – Yellow Minion in Boxers Holding an Ice Cream Cone

Minions Despicable Me Evil Purple Minion Ultra Rare FigureThe “ultra rare” figure in this set is, not surprisingly, the purple Minion (AKA “Evil Minion”). As the purple minions are both less popular and less recognizable/marketable than the regular yellow minions from Despicable Me, it’s simple logic why they’d be the lowest-produced figure in the Mega Bloks Despicable Me Minions blind box series.

Those who are big fans will be willing to hunt for these characters, whereas casual fans just buying a random box will be unlikely to get stuck with a purple Minion that they may not want.

  1. I have a couple of these and a set. I like them but their legs are a pain to snap into place. I made a second trip out to get more but my store didn’t have the purple Minion. Since they didn’t have the rare one I’m waiting till after Brick Fair to get anymore.

    • The banana fits in a LEGO minifig’s hand. The goggles and hats are too big. I have one of the sets. The minion hat has a large post that snaps into a hole in the minions head. it will not work with LEGO.

  4. I’m afraid your numbering and/or descriptions are wrong. A24094ES is actually ‘minion painted pretending to be evil guy’ . I found that A23094ES and not A21094ES is – Purple Minion Long Haired {actual evil guy}. Which leaves a question who is A21094ES if there is one. The collector sheets that come with figs have a lacke out fig with question mark , does this mean there is a super secret guy out there.

  5. looks like there is a new code range now… latest stock of series 1 minions at our local Toys r Us have the following format: Axx124ES where xx does not match any of the listed numbers here. I’ve found xx = 13, 02 and 05 so far… won’t buy until I can be sure as the only two I don’t have from the previous ‘identifiable’ numbers are 20 (with flask) and 24 (purple evil)

  6. Do you know the codes to Mega Bloks Minions Series 2 & 3? I have one of the series 2 it is the purple minion (2 eyes) and the number is A09035ES
