The highly controversial spring 2014 LEGO Minifigures Series 13 theme is allegedly LEGO The Simpsons, so it’s not a jaw-dropper that early LEGO Homer Simpson minifigures have now leaked out for sale on the internet.

Every year LEGO Shop at Home sends sites a list of their “Brick Friday” promotional sales and deals the day before Thanksgiving and asks that they not be posted until it’s almost time for the sale to begin. Well, this afternoon they sent out the list of 2013 Black Friday LEGO Shop sale prices and promotions and didn’t ask to hold out on it, so I guess they don’t care this year! Though it was never my favorite theme, for some reason the return of Ninjago this winter has gotten me really jazzed for the LEGO Ninjago 2014 sets!

I am unashamed to admit that I cried when Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi order at the end of Clone Wars. As you might imagine, I am a pretty big Star Wars Clone Wars fan. So while some LEGO Star Wars collectors were giddy that Clone Wars was cancelled, I was still holding out hope that we’d get a few more LEGO Clone Wars sets. A lot of people give LEGO Legends of Chima a hard time, but I like the animal tribes concept plenty. Even so, I was getting bored after seeing crocodile-themed and wolf-themed sets all year. Luckily, LEGO is giving the LEGO Legends of Chima 2014 sets an infusion of new blood and new style with new tribes next year! And seeing the first Chima Scorpion Tribe set, the 2014 LEGO Chima Scorm’s Scorpion Stinger 70132, has remedied any malaise toward Chima that I was feeling!
