Once the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game was announced for release, I knew that 2015 was going to be a huge year for the LEGO Batman (LEGO DC Super Heroes) line of sets. And as is sometimes the case (I’m batting about 70/30 lately), my prediction was right. However, LEGO has completed blown away all of my expectations–the 2015 LEGO DC Superheroes sets contain unquestionably best wave of LEGO DC Minifigures that we’ve ever gotten! The first-ever LEGO minifigures of Darkseid, Brainiac, and Supergirl–and even the return of LEGO Green Arrow–are coming our way in January 2015!

LEGO Santa’s Workshop 10245 Set Up for Order!

A late-summer not-quite-Christmas miracle occurred last week: LEGO fully-unveiled the LEGO Winter Village 2014 set–LEGO Santa’s Workshop 10245! LEGO might have liked to have kept this set a surprise, but unfortunately (for them, not us) the first photo of the LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Workshop set leaked out way back in May. That photo was pretty grainy, and I’ve been looking forward to seeing the Santa’s Workshop LEGO set in all its hi-res glory ever since–and now, I finally can! The 10245 LEGO Santa’s Workshop set has now been revealed!

The last of the four LEGO The Hobbit The Battle of The Five Armies sets that’s just been released at Toys R Us stores in the past few days is none other than, well… the LEGO The Battle of Five Armies 79017 set! This is the second-biggest of the fall 2014 LEGO Hobbit sets, and comes with more minifigures than any other LEGO The Hobbit set this year!

Now that LEGO has begun shipping to the LEGO The Hobbit The Battle of the Five Armies sets to stores (which, in turn, are now selling the sets), there’s nothing stopping us from finally discussing this late 2014 LEGO Hobbit sets!

Next up is the LEGO Attack on Lake-Town 79016 set, which is the second-smallest of the sets in this wave. While the minifigure selection that comes with LEGO 79016 is a little bit bland, I think long-time LEGO The Hobbit collectors are going to have a blast pairing this set off with last year’s portion of Lake-Town…

Remember that stuff I said yesterday about how I was highly dubious that the three previously-unseen LEGO The Hobbit 2014 winter sets would be released before November 2014…? Yeah–scratch that. As it turns out–and to the shock of LEGO collectors everywhere–all four LEGO The Hobbit 2014 sets have now suddenly been released at various Toys R Us stores in the United States! Now that they’re actually in stores and being sold, we can finally take a look at the new LEGO Hobbit sets–starting with the LEGO Witch-King Battle 79015!

The past two years, LEGO released the Hobbit sets just in time for holiday shoppers to rush out and buy them! But this year, LEGO is doing things a little bit differently. While I don’t expect that we’ll see all four of the LEGO Hobbit 2014 sets released at once, at least one of the sets coming our way is going to be out in just over one month’s time! Scheduled for release on October 15th, 2014–it’s the LEGO The Lonely Mountain 79018 set… with LEGO Smaug Dragon!

Last night I chatted up a storm about the newly-reissued LEGO Arctic Scout 30310 polybag set that’s just started to hit stores again this past week. But of course, that’s not the only LEGO polybag making the rounds in the build-up to Halloween–and it’s definitely not going to be the most popular one! Though it’s also been briefly available before, the LEGO set arriving in stores now to accompany the LEGO 30310 Arctic Scout is going to be a hot one–the LEGO Batman Batwing 30301 polybag is now flying back onto shelves!

I’m pretty open about the fact that I love the LEGO Arctic sets (not to mention the color orange), so I don’t think anyone will gasp at my admission that I’ve been buying all the 2014 LEGO Arctic sets. I’m holding off reviewing them until I get snow to take the review photos in (thank god I don’t need to take any more photos at the beach), but there’s at least one set that won’t be around in stores long enough for that. It was previously released in stores and sold out quickly, but a new shipment of LEGO Arctic Scout 30310 polybag sets has just arrived in Target stores!
