LEGO and MEGA Brands are each bringing their biggest presences ever to New York Comic Con 2012 this week, and Bricks and Bloks will be on-hand in Manhattan to cover the event, starting Thursday October 11th!

LEGO has a pretty substantially-sized spot at booth 1538, including the first-ever NYCC Exclusive LEGO set: Luke Skywalker’s Chibi Landspeeder! The set is limited to 1,000 being produced, and will come in an ultra-cool metal tin. Luke Skywalker’s Chibi Landspeeder is going to retail for $40 at NYCC 2012 and will contain 110 pieces. The Chibi Landspeeder is pretty darn adorable, and the Luke Skywalker minifigure is slightly different than any we’ve ever seen before! We’ll do our best to pick up this super-limited set from the show for additional photos and a review.We’ve no idea what else LEGO will be debuting or displaying at the show, but we’ll cover it and take a plethora of photos and video regardless!

Meanwhile, MEGA Brands has a great spot in the showroom right across from the Mattel booth. There are no presently announced Mega Bloks exclusives or reveals for New York Comic Con, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be any. Will MEGA Brands be bringing their A-Game to the show and perhaps debut some new Halo Mega Bloks 2013 sets or some of the mysterious World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Series 2 sets? Will we get our first in-person glimpse of the Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Mantis? How about some mass-release Pandarens for the World of Warcraft line? We’ll have to wait and see! What we do know is that MEGA Brands will be showing off their impending Skylanders Mega Bloks sets, as well as WoW Mega Bloks and Halo Mega Bloks sets of some variety.

Bricks and Bloks will be posting tons of photos and video of NYCC 2012 starting Thursday night (10/11), and continuing throughout the weekend! This will be our first first year covering New York Comic Con, so we’re going to do our best to make it a great one. Look forward to it!
