It’s like the beginning of the year all over again for LEGO collectors today, as another tsunami of new 2015 LEGO sets has come pouring in, with dozens of new sets now up for order! Earlier today I talked about the LEGO Pirates and Ninjago sets that have gone up for sale for the first time today, but those aren’t the only original action themes returning for a new year of sets: the very popular LEGO Ultra Agents 2015 sets are now available for order online!

After the relatively unsuccessful LEGO Galaxy Squad theme ended after a mere one year back in 2013, I wasn’t sure what to make over last year’s new LEGO Ultra Agents theme. Sure, LEGO Agents had been popular–but that theme had also been cancelled. Would Ultra Agents really be able to capture an audience and do well in stores?

The answer is yes. I’ve seen all of the LEGO Ultra Agents sets doing well in my local stores, and I’ve yet to see even a single set cleared out at a local store for poor sales. Ultra Agents are a hit–and they’re back in 2015 for another year!

There are five Winter 2015 LEGO Ultra Agents sets now available for order (and you can read my full preview and impressions of the sets right here):

Of these five sets, I previously looked at and discussed four of them. The one set which images weren’t available for last October was the 70169 Agent Stealth Patrol–which turns out to be my favorite of the quintet of sets! What is it that managed to win me over in this set? Why, it’s P.U.P.–the Ultra Agents’ robot dog! Who doesn’t love a LEGO Robot Dog, right?!

Toxitika was also my favorite one of the villains that we saw in the first wave of Ultra Agents sets, and I love that she’s back now–with a lime green mech suit! The mech suit has really adorable proportions (despite being a horrible environmental catastrophe waiting to happen), and even the Agent 4×4 looks really fun and cool. All-around, this is definitely my favorite of the LEGO Ultra Agents sets released to date, and also the only one that’s been a day-one purchase for me!

And although I previously talked about the set last fall and don’t want to repeat myself, I am quite psyched about the 70170 UltraCopter vs. AntiMatter set as well. AntiMatter is the supreme villain of the Ultra Agents LEGO universe, so it’s great to finally get him in minifigure form–especially atop his neat flying anti-gravity platform!

I don’t have a spare $79.99 for this set at the moment (what with the landslide of new sets that went up for sale today), but this is a definite future purchase for me down the road.

The Winter 2015 LEGO Ultra Agents sets are now in-stock and available for order, although I expect this first shipment to sell out pretty speedily. The official release date for these sets isn’t until March 2015, so it’ll probably be a few more weeks until these sets spread out and are available at local retailers. If you’re an Ultra Agent die-hard and need these sets as soon as possible, you probably want to get an order in for them now.
