Another question that I get in multitude each and every day is “When are the LEGO 2015 sets coming out?” And that’s another question where the answer is always “Not Yet”. But this week, that answer has changed! Holiday shoppers hoping for something totally fresh and new to stick under the tree this year can rejoice, because LEGO has now made well over a dozen new LEGO sets available: The 2015 LEGO City, LEGO Technic and LEGO Creator sets are all now available for order online!
Considering that we hadn’t seen photos of most of the 2015 LEGO Creator sets until just a few weeks ago, I didn’t expect those to be on-shelf until January. Nope! Turns out that Creator is one of the first themes to market this year (which shouldn’t be that much of a shock, since it tends to be one of the first themes to market every year, but I digress).
Since the LEGO Store is usually pretty good about stocking sets at the same time as the online LEGO Shop (as long as those sets don’t have “Minecraft” in the name), I decided to check out a couple of my nearest local LEGO Stores yesterday and see what they’d received. As it turns out, they only ended up getting in about half of the sets that have turned up online so far.
As of writing all of the just-released LEGO 2015 sets are still available through the online LEGO Shop, although my local LEGO Stores have only received a small smattering of the sets and weren’t sure exactly when they’d be getting the rest into stock. It’s likely that mass quantities of these sets won’t hit in full force until after the holidays, so if you’re wanting these sets as presents (including for yourself), it wouldn’t be the worst idea to nab them ASAP.
Are you excited for the release of these 2015 LEGO Technic, Creator and City sets, LEGO collectors? Or is other themes and sets (*cough* LEGO Frozen *cough*) that you’re really anticipating?
Really waiting for the Disney sets for my daughter (esp. Frozen, but she’s also asked previously for a set with Aurora), but seeing that Red Creatures set again makes me think it would be a great small present. She’s a huge dragon fan, and that brick-built dragon looks great. And $15 is a great price for the number of pieces.
