We’re approaching the 2013 holiday season, and with it the onslaught of 2014 LEGO sets that the end of this year and the start of the next year will bring! The leaks have started, and they’ll likely keep on coming until we’ve seen every last one of the Winter 2014 LEGO sets. The newest figures to make their unexpectedly early debut? The LEGO Batman 2014 Batman and Nightwing minifigures!
We got an early look at two DC LEGO Super Heroes 2014 minifigures last month in the form of the all-new LEGO Batgirl minifigure and LEGO Joker minifigure, and now two more new 2014 LEGO Batman minifigures have made themselves known to the world!
The first new minifigure image comes to us courtesy of ebay seller Votvik, who has posted more several more new 2014 LEGO Minifigures auctions for figures including next year’s LEGO R2-D2 and the 2014 LEGO Batman minifigure! The LEGO Batman minifigure coming next year may look pretty similar to the previously-released LEGO Batman minifigures at a glance, but he’s actually sporting his DC Comics New 52 Batman costume. Considering that this is the new iconic look for Batman, I’m excited to see it coming in LEGO form in just a few months.
The second new minifigure photo was revealed via a Youtube video by user Your Creative Friends, who posted the first image of the 2014 LEGO Batman Nightwing minifigure! Like the Batman and Batgirl 2014 LEGO Minifigures, Nightwing is sporting his awesome DC New 52 costume. The switch to black and red from black and blue was a tough transition for me to get used to in the DC Comic Books, but now I absolutely love it.
I’m psyched to have the opportunity to expand my New 52 LEGO Batman minifigures collection in just a few short months, as these LEGO Batman minifigures and the sets that they’re contained in should all be available for sale online on with free shipping by December 2013/January 2014.
And remember–you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have more LEGO 2014 news, photos and updates beamed straight to your Facebook Newsfeed as more details become available!
That’s not the New52 version of Batman. It’s based on the new cartoon “Beware the Batman.” You can tell by the belt and the chest emblem.
I’m not sure. The belt does look closer to the Beware the Batman costume, but the colors look much more like New 52 Batman.
